On April 22, 2024, the Druk Sernya Trout Farm in Tsilungkha, Eusu geog, Haa successfully stocked 13,000 rainbow trout fingerlings, each averaging 70 grams in weight. The purpose of this initiative is to encourage and assist individual farmers, youth, and youth groups in rainbow trout farming to boost production. As part of this support, the farm received 2 metric tons of feed. It is anticipated that by the end of the production cycle, the farm will yield approximately 2.912 metric tons of rainbow trout, with an average weight of 250 grams per fish. This projection factors in an expected 10% annual mortality rate. The estimated revenue from this production is projected to reach Nu. 1.45 million. This initiative operates within the guidelines of the Cost-Sharing Mechanism (CSM) for the Renewable Natural Resources (RNR) Sector, 2021.

The stocking program was executed successfully, with an opening ceremony graced by Dasho Dzongda and supported by local leaders from Eusu Gewog and the Dzongkhag Livestock Sector, Haa.
