Schistura cf. multifasciata (Day, 1878)

Genus: Schistura McClelland

Mouth moderately arched, lower lip usually with a median interruption but not forming two lateral triangular pads. Two black mark along the base of dorsal fin, body with black transverse bars, and split into many. Posterior nostril prolong into a tube in some.

Synony ms: Nemacheilus multifasciatus Day, 1878; Noemecheilus multifasciatus Day, 1878.

Diagnosis: Dorsal fin rays 2/7-8, anal 2/5, pectoral 11. Bars anterior to dorsal fin split up into numerous fin bars, dorsal and caudal fin marked with spots. Caudal fin truncate, lateral line complete. 14 – 16 bars on the body which are larger than inter space.
