Genus: Psilorhynchus McClelland

Small size, body cylindrical, depressed anteriorly, compressed posteriorly and flattened ventrally. Paired fins inserted horizontally, 8 simple pectoral fin rays. Lateral line scales 40 – 43. Barbels absent.

Diagnosis: Dorsal fin with 11 branched rays, lateral line complete, suborbital flab present, pelvic axial lobe present, caudal fin with 8-9 bands, round spots on upper half of caudal peduncle.

Distribution: Nyichula, Sheti bagar (Dagana)
